Spring Ride Today and Another Quilt Was Started Yesterday

We've had company all week. No sewing until yesterday. Mother started a blue Quick Strippie quilt using Mary Johnson's pattern. Because Mother wants her quilt to be a little longer than Mary's pattern, she added a few more strips. Mother is piecing blue Quick Strippie as I quilt her pink strip quilt.
It was a beautiful, sunny, spring day with temps in the mid 70's here in North Carolina. I went for a short ride on my CS motorcycle. Life is pretty good : )

Project Linus Sew-In!

I arrived at the church fellowship hall about 10 am. I brought the Pooh panel quilt from an earlier blog post. It was good to see Tonya again. She had collected a table full of donated fabrics!
I used some donated strips of flannel fabrics to make two blankets. The first two blanket pictures are the front and back of one blanket. The blanket in the third picture was backed with one solid piece of flannel fabric with words saying, "I like CATS!"
Pretty fabrics, good food and new friends ... It was a very good day!!

Mother's First Quilt

This week Mother and I are working on a small pink quilt, a gift. The quilt top will be 11 WOF pieces cut 6 1/2" wide, the quilt back will be a large piece of the teacup fabric.

I call it a sweet dreams quilt.
