Earth and Sky Quilt

A pretty batik jelly roll+ contest quilt. I bought most of the strips from Connecting Threads. The batiks used in the border and the back came from local fabric shops, maybe JoAnns.
Sandwiched, quilted, a binding, washed, dried, and photographed. It's 70"x71". No pictures taken outside as it's raining.

Whimsical Crayon Box Completed!

I started Whimsical Crayon Box last year and set the top aside until I could learn to free motion quilt. I found the quilt pattern on Bonnie Hunter's blog, Quiltville.com. Thank you Bonnie! My finished quilt is a little different, it's smaller. Still, at 83" x 70", it's a large quilt for me to attempt to quilt.
I used a variegated thread, pink/blue/purple/green/yellow, to FMQ and sew on the binding. I am very pleased with this bright, colorful, fun little quilt! Looks happy on my bed!
A big thanks to Pam, my brother's gf, for holding up the quilt for me to photograph :D

Crayon Box Sandwich is Quilted

Crayon Box is a UFO from last year. It's about 84" x 70" and ready for the binding.
I must decide between a scrappy binding or a colorful stripe fabric binding.

Mother's Purple Quick Strippie

I finished free motion quilting, binding, washing and drying Mother's Purple Quick Strippie top for a grandchildren that likes purple.
We used Mary Johnson's Quick Strippie pattern.
This sweet little quilt was made using all purple fabrics. I don't know why my camera made the purple colors in this quilt look blue :D

Fat Quarters in This Week's Mail

FOUR delicious Citron/Gray FQs by Michael Miller arrived in a squishy envelope in the mail! Freda of imperamagna.blogspot.com, a blog that chronicles the adventures of the Impress of the Universe" had a give away in honor of her parents wedding anniversary. I was one of the winners! I plan to make a purse :D
Thank you, Freda. They will make a lovely purse.

I needed 4 more pot holders for gifts. Pictured are the fronts and backs. Two were made from scraps and two were made with some Monet cotton quilting fabric I found at JoAnn's. I have a friend that likes to paint. She chose the Monet :D
