I didn't realize how much I liked turquoise, teal and aqua until this month's rainbow challenge. Such calming colors. Since I was pretty much out of this color, scraps and stash, I bought 3 pieces of turquoise themed fabric, each half a yard. Then I was able to made three blocks, cut some strips to add to my strip collection for a rainbow challenge jelly roll race quilt in December ... and have a little turquoise fabric in my stash.
To see what others have made with their turquoise stash and scraps, go here.

Wonderful color, great blocks... make me want to head to the beach!

ReplyDeleteYou are a quilter after my own heart...buying new fabric for a scrap project...I do this ALL the time!! These are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! You're right they are a lovely calming colour and I could head off to the beach too - pity its pouring with rain outside or I could wander down to the beach (about 10 mins walk for me), all be it a pebble beach but still nice!!
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks. So pretty. Love this color. Yikes, I don't have mine done; been too busy writing blog post for the giveaway and forgot! ;(. Thanks for reminder. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks. I like the bit of lime coming in to them.
ReplyDeleteLove your blocks. Too bad you had to go out and get more fabric;) Now you'll have a few scraps for next time. The colors are just lovely though, so fresh and fun.
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks. Those blue-greens are great colours, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteGreat looking fabrics - isn't it fun to have new color inspiration?!
