2013 Rainbow Scrap Challenge March, Orange, Week 1

It's the first of March and this month's color is Orange! This morning I pieced some 16 patch blocks and cut some 5" tumblers and 2.5" squares.
The orange knitted dishcloth in the picture was my first attempt to change yarn colors within a knitted project. I need to practice that trick, however I think my knitted dishcloths look better using only one color of yarn.
To see what others made with their orange scraps this week, go here.

  3. Yummy oranges. (I know oranges - I've got 2 trees full. Gotta get the ladder out, and the courage stoked and get them picked off pretty soon or I'll be sharing space with a bunch of bees.)
Yours are great. Did you make strips and sew them together and then cut across for the 16 patches? Or do you place each square? Inquiring minds would like to know.
