I love blue and have a lot of blue scraps. After separating the bright blues from the turquoise and teal, I got started. It didn't take long to made four 8.5" 16 patch blocks and cut several 2.5" squares and 5" tumblers to add to my collections. This is going to be a good month!
I knitted a couple of dishcloths using a pattern Wanda shared with me. Aren't they cute. Thank you, Wanda. This week I read "The Host" by Stephanie Myers. Over 600 pages. One of those page turners. Thankfully the movie came out last month because I want to see it!

Beautiful blues... and a great idea to cut tumblers and squares for future projects!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new dishcloths! Gorgeous! Wanda is a sweetie for sharing the pattern...
I love your dishcloths. Your 16 patch blocks are great.
ReplyDeleteI had to do an extreme closeup to see what fun fabrics were in those 16 patches. Love them!
ReplyDeleteLots of fun blues and the washcloths are terrific.
ReplyDeleteNice assortment of blues--love their scrappiness! hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteWhoot - great fun with some lovely blues!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I love all your blues!!! This is my favorite color, so I'm really going to enjoy playing in these scraps, and seeing what everyone else makes too :*) Your dishcloths are wonderful! It looks like they're knit straight and not on the diagonal? Does that help keep them more square?
ReplyDeleteSuch fun fabrics you have in your blocks! Love the dish cloths..... I really need to finish off the one I started a few months ago!
ReplyDeleteLove your blue squares. You are banking a bunch of tumblers, too. Can't wait to see the results.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Such happy blues. I recognize the flower and stars from my own stash. Great minds must thing alike.
ReplyDeleteLady sings (with) the blues.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the tumbler quilt at some point in the future! Your 16 patches have me thinking about doing the same - so many blue scraps to use up! Does the washcloth pattern use moss stitch? It looks more substantial than plain stockinette.
ReplyDeleteI love your blues, Sheila! And those are my favorite kind of dish cloths - love how they look next to your quilt block!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! Love the dishrags too...looks alot like my favorite pattern!
ReplyDeleteYou have made a wonderful start with your blues. I have a lot of blue, too, it seems a lot of people wanted blue quilts, hence the leftovers. It's a good thing!
ReplyDeleteYou always seem to be the first blogger I read with blocks done for RSC! LOL
ReplyDeleteAs usual, your blocks look great.
As always, you've created some stunning blocks with your scraps. I'm in awe!
ReplyDeleteNice knitting. You have come a long way, baby, in very short time.
