This week I made a second yellow 8.5" crumb block to go with the one I made last week to make a pot holder. Four 4.5" yellow crumb blocks will be added to my RSC collection. A knitted yellow cotton dishcloth made it into the picture. To see what others made with yellow scraps, go
here Saturday morning.
I made eight more Sweet 16 blocks that I plan to sew into the back of my Hands 2 Help quilt.
Last fall I attended a Bonnie Hunter workshop. We made Pineapple Blossom blocks. It became a UFO for awhile. This week I pulled the blocks and made more. I'll start sashing the blocks this week.
A cold is slowing me down
Great yellow projects and blocks. Funny, I was just looking at Bonnie's Pineapple to use up the many 2" strips that are accumming - think you have me sold on that project.
ReplyDeleteHi, Sheila, love these higgledy-piggledy (what a great word!!! 8D ) bright colors of the up growing pineapple quilt top ... I discovered many goose flying through the sky immediately ... well, these are a really very interesting variation of a "Wild Goose Chase" ... but I just ask me, why you will break them with a sashing? With lovely regards! Kirsten

I agree with Angela - your slow is most people's fast =). Hope you are feeling better with all those pretty bright projects to work on and look at. I think the pineapples would look great without a sashing.... I found a ball of yellow yarn when moving my sewing room. Maybe I need to make another dish cloth!
ReplyDeleteThe pineapple blocks are bright and cheery. Very nice yellow blocks.
