A few years ago I pieced together 144 3 1/2" squares. It's 36" x 36" square. I can't remember what I had in mind when I started this project. When I found it about a month ago, I also found several 3 1/2" squares not pieced.
Looking at it now, I think it's a good start on a small picnic quilt. I think I'll add a blue border and some more 3 1/2" squares and another blue border .... life is pretty good.

Yes, the hardest part is done. Picnic quilt definitely. And like the border treatment you are thinking of. Going to be very nice.

Beautiful! I love your color choices. I really like the pinks, and that blue with the watercolor flowers = yummy! Please share the finished product. I can't wait to see it.
