2018 RSC May Pink Week 4 String Baby Quilt

I love sewing string blocks in each month's rainbow colors. This week I pulled and sashed 16 of them for a charity baby quilt that finished at about 39" square. I'll donate it during our June quilt guild meeting.

My third Growing Up Odd block is pictured above as well as two 2018 sampler blocks. Made a couple super scrappy pot holders this week. The HSTs were from my orphan box collection. Not making it into the picture was a pretty pink themed doll quilt and a two sided large flannel receiving blanket. Both were donated before I thought to take a picture.

2018 RSC May Pink Week 3

Still catching up for those lost RSC weeks. Yes. I'm making more colorful RSC Bonnie Hunter house blocks. I'm addicted. May turn them into another quilt, some pot holders, mug rugs. Don't know. I just like to make these blocks. Thought I'd try out the RSC 2018 Sampler Blocks. Aren't they cute. And fun, too.
I decided to make another "Growing Up Odd" block. That makes, two blocks. I chose a light pink fabric for sashing.  These blocks are fun to make. Another super scrappy pot holder made it into the picture.

2018 RSC May Pink Week 2, String blocks, Tote Bag, Doll Quilt, Pillowcases, Growing Up Odd Block

Still catching up this month with colorful blocks in five colors. I used pages torn from a phone book for the foundation of these blocks. Three super scrappy pot holders made it into the picture. Can never have enough of these to give away.
To see what others made with their rainbow colors, go here.

Pictured is a doll quilt, a couple pillow cases and a tote bag for some great grand kids. Fun stuff!

Goodness knows I don't need to start another project, but here goes the start of a "Growing Up Odd" quilt block. Here is a link to a free tutorial for the block and quilt.

Happy Mother's Day!

2018 May Pink and Rose, Week 1, 16-Patch Blocks, 36-Patch blocks, Doll Quilts

I've some Rainbow Scrap Challenge catching up to do in the coming months. Because 16-patch blocks are so much fun to sew and versatile, I decided to make more this RSC year. My plan is to make five in each month's RSC year. Apparently I forgot to count this year. Two light blue blocks and six purple blocks. Don't know what is going on here.

I love 36-patch blocks, too. I'll try at least one each RSC month.
To see what others made with their scraps, go here Saturday morning.

I'm still sewing up scraps and orphan blocks to make doll quilts to give away. Love sewing doll quilts.
