2013 Hands to Help Quilt Top

Today I made an I SPY strip quilt top for the 2013 Hands to Help Charity Quilt Challenge. I think a young boy will like these colors and fabric strips. The top is 44"x 59". Tomorrow I'll piece the back. I'd like to have this quilt finished before May.

Update. I saw a couple quilts on the internet that inspired me to make this quilt. One was at Bunk House Quilts. I can't remember where I saw the other. This idea is a good way to use up strips of fabric from other projects. The I SPY strips I used in this quilt were left over from making an I SPY quilt  for the 2012 Hands to Help Charity Quilt Challenge.

At first, it looked like a garden... then I looked closer, to see Superman, etc. Love this layout for an I Spy. Never thought to do it that way. Way to go, Girl! I love it.

Yes, that is very cute! I might have to try something like that too, as I have lots of novelty strips. Thanks for the idea. And kudos for such fast sewing!
