After playing with yummy reds this week, I'll add four 8.5" cats, six 5.5" cocoa mugs, and one 6.5" sampler block to my collections. A dark red cotton knitted dishcloth made it into the picture.
I've started sewing together the 8.5" rainbow string blocks that I've been slowly working on since January of last year. Hopefully I'll have a scrappy rainbow string quilt, or at least a quilt top flimsy finished by next Saturday.
To see what others have been making with their red scraps, go

More lovely blocks - I do like those kitties, so cute!
Love that the kitties seem to be all different. Love the block with just heads. And the mugs are darling, of course.
Hugs
Yes, the cats with just their heads showing are definitely up to no good. I hope none of the mugs are broken during the melee.
Especially love those cocoa mugs!
Your cats are adorable and the cups are cute. But stars are always my favorite.
I need to do a mug cozy at least out of the mug block, too cute. Love the red dish cloth, that would brighten the kitchen up. Mine could use some of that!
Wow, loving everything red here.
Looking forward to seeing your string top. Lovely red blocks added to your amazing collection.
Can't wait to see your string top! I like the red dishcloth, too - not sure I've seen red cotton yarn - I'll have to look!
Such a pretty collection of reds. Looking forward to seeing the string top.... and those cats all together in a quilt!
Gorgeous red fabrics as usual! Love the star block especially. Looking forward to seeing your finished top next week - no pressure then!
You have been busy - I love the reds! The cats and mugs are really cute. Looking forward to seeing what you have finished in the string quilt.
Cats and kittens and great mugs. Did I spot a red dishcloth too?
I've been catching up on my blog reading today so I went back to look at your other red RSC blocks. You really have a great variety this month. I like your jelly roll race quilt with the spacers. The spacers give it a very different look.
Such vibrant reds in all your blocks! They all look great.
Kitties, cups and stars, what could be better...very nice blocks...hugs, Julierose
Kitties! Those two on the bottom left are up to some naughtiness, my furkids tell me. ;) And I love the mugs, too - especially that floral on the bottom left.
Sweet little kitties and cups... there's a red star, too. How did the dish cloth happen to be red this time?
Hugs
