2017 RSC February Aquamarine Week 1

Though I'm still playing with purple scraps, I found time to play with aquamarine. Pictured is a purple doll quilt, a purple 36 patch block, six aquamarine string blocks, two 36 patch aquamarine blocks and two 16 patch blocks. Like a lot of knitters, I carry around yarn and a project in progress. A cotton knitted dishcloth made it into the picture. Go here to see what others made with purple and aquamarine scraps this Rainbow Scrap Challenge week.

Already off to a great start. The aquamarine actually looks really good next to the purple.

Love the new blocks!! This is a color just NOT in my yardage nor scraps, so clearing out some springy greens instead. Lovely to see you still getting some sewing time.

I see lots of fun fabrics in all your blocks and doll quilt! I know your time to sew is limited but you are still being quite productive. Beautiful work as usual :)

I like how you've placed your string blocks, great movement. Love the little aqua/orange dishcloth, bright and cheery.

Great layout for the string blocks! Maybe the layout was not intentional, but the visual is very appealing.

Lots of pretty there, Sheila! I like all your pieces. What are you making with the 36 patches? Or do you know yet?

Lots of pretty and scrappy blocks. Aqua and purple would be a great color combo for a quilt.
