2015 RSC April Purple Week 2, Pineapple Blossom Progress

I'm still working through my purple crumbs, skinny trimmings and scraps. The four 8.5" crumb blocks will become two hot pads next week. The other 8.5" block and four 4.5" crumb blocks will join my collections. A cotton knitted dishcloth made it into the picture. To see what others made with their purple scraps, go here Saturday morning.

I've started quilting my BH Pineapple Blossom quilt on my domestic sewing machine. My ironing board helps support some of the weight of the quilt while it's being quilted.
I messed up on four of my pineapple blocks and turned them into a charity baby quilt top. It's sandwiched with batting and a backing, ready to be quilted after I finish the big quilt. See it front and center in the picture.
No progress on my H2H Sweet 16 quilt. Maybe next week.

Wow - what a great purple line up!! And I feel tired muscling my lap quilt thru the machine - good luck with that monster. I think the baby quilt with the oops blocks is so cute.

Purple....love all your purple blocks for playtime! You may have messed up a few blocks....but we will not tell. And who ever gets the quilt will love it all the more! If they don't send it to me :)

Like the way a bit of turquoise sneaked into those purple blocks (giggle).

Good luck quilting the pineapple quilts -

Clever and colorful use as a baby quilt! You are pretty brave and determined to be quilting the big one on that machine. Good luck.

Love your purples, but the pineapples are gorgeous and so cheery. The baby quilt has such a unique inner boarder. You come up with the best ideas. Keep up the good work.

Blue was an excellent choice of border for your pineapple blossom! Hooray for a bonus baby quilt too! That's awesome. I haven't gotten much accomplished this week. Oh well!

Everything looks great. Love how you've taken your "lemons" and made lemonade (a baby quilt)! That's the way to do it, for sure.

You have lots of purples. I should go ahead and try to do some purple hexagons with my 4 patches this month.
