2015 RSC June Light Blue Week 2

Though it was a busy week, I found some time to sew. The two light blue crumb blocks in last Saturday's post are now a pot holder. I pieced two more 8.5" crumb blocks that I'll turn into another pot holder this week. Pot holders/hot pads make nice little gifts as people seem to like them. A cotton knitted dishcloth made it into the picture. Knitted dishcloths make nice little gifts, too. The three Teeny Tiny Zipper Pouches in the picture were made using this YouTube video tutorial posted by Debbie from SEW SO EASY. Yes. Made them with Laurel Burch cat fabric. They are for our guild's annual quilt show Boutique. Money raised is used to buy fabric, batting and supplies for charity quilts.
To see what others made this week with their light blue scraps, go here.
So ... not much to show in this post. Still quilting my tumblers quilt pieced with the tumbler units cut during the 2013 RSC. The quilting is slow going as I'm using my domestic sewing machine. HOPEFULLY I'll finish it this week and post pictures Saturday.
Good news! Another colorful, scrappy tumbler quilt in my future. Bonnie Hunter announced on Facebook that the new "2015 Quiltville Ender Leader Project" will be TUMBLERS!

I do enjoy those teeny tiny zipper pouches. In fact, I brought one on my trip as it is the perfect size to hold charging cords for phones and such. Finding nice inexpensive zippers always seems to be the hard part. Such pretty light blues. Looking forward to tumblers for a new leaders and Enders project. That will be a fun one.

I like the idea of turning the crumb blocks into potholders. Love my little zip pouch, thank you.

Pretty blues as usual. I have been meaning to do some tumblers and maybe this is the year I'll do them!
Thanks for the heads up.

I love my teeny tiny zipper pouch! I use it for chap stick and gum :) Your light blue crumbs are pretty! Seems you've squeezed in quite a bit of seeing time! Yea!
