2015 RSC September ORANGE Week 1, Duke Tote, Flames Tote, Teeny Tiny Zipper Pouches

I love ORANGE. After playing with orange scraps I'll add a 12.5" Eye of God block, four 16 patch and a 8.5" Eye of God blocks to my collection.
A knitted red dishcloth and five dish scrubbers made it into the picture. The knitted items will go in our quilt guild's boutique next week. Money collected will go toward charity projects.
To see what others made with orange, go here Saturday morning.

This is a lined, quilted tote I made for one of my sons. He requested the orange flames print and he likes Ant Man. The lined tote finished at about 16" x 18" with about a 3" bottom and 8" Ant Man print pockets, one on the front and one on the back
.

This Duke tote is for a grandchild. I used the pattern in the picture, I found that it was a DIFFICULT pattern for me. One broken sewing machine needle later and it's finished. Luckily the machine is okay as I was able to retrieve the needle's tip before it was lost inside the sewing machine.

AND six cute Teeny Tiny Zipper Pouches made using this YouTube video clip. My family loves these little things so I'll keep making them until everyone has a couple.

Lots of orange scrappy goodness this week. Fun, fun totes. I really like the one with the flames.

So many teeny zipper cases. They really are handy in so many ways. Looks like plenty of happy orange blocks are ready to become part of future quilts.

Love your orange 16's and the little zipper totes. Wish I were not so intimidated by zippers. Those things are cute and so handy. Keep up the good work.

Great blocks and bags! And I love your little zipper totes. I haven't attempted a zipper since probably high school, but this makes me want to try.

Lots of lovely projects. You have been very busy. I love your orange string blocks. I am thinking string blocks will be one of my 2016 rainbow block. I have finally learned to crochet dishcloths. Thanks for your inspiration to help me keep trying until I could do it. Yours are always lovely. What do you do with all of the, you make?
