Tori and Hannah learned to Cast On, Knit Stitch, and Cast Off. Hannah started a dish cloth and Tori started a second small knitted square. They left for home this afternoon with bamboo knitting needles and yarn.
Hannah was also able to make a couple Valentine hot pads/mug rugs.
It was a fun weekend :)

And you are teaching knitting already - how fun to share a new skill! And look, she is doing her own bindings - my SIL is struggling with that step.
You are a good Grandma! What a lot of learning you are passing on that will last a lifetime. My grandmother taught me to crochet years (many) ago. Those are memories I treasure.
Ooo, how exciting! Well done Grandma!
Sweet! lots of good things made and learned. Great memories all around.
Hugs
My granddaughter is now asking to learn to sew and knit so I think I'll use your example and start with mug rugs and wash cloths. We painted a bird house together on her birthday and had a ball. I think she's going to be my crafy one.
Sheila, what is it on your needles, purple? Is it some safety cup?
