After a week of playing with yellow I'll add four 8.5" string blocks, four 5.5" cocoa mug blocks, and a 6.5" midget block to my collections. A green and yellow cotton knitted dishcloth made it into the picture.
To see what others made with their yellow scraps, go
here Saturday.
I'm participating in Fat Quarter shop's Wishes Sew Along. Pictured are May and June blocks. It's not to late to sew along. The blocks are not to difficult to make because the directions are excellent.

More deliscious yellows. I like the Wishes quilt, but I am up to my armpits with projects.
Your string blocks are looking great.. I like the wishes blocks.
Love the yellow strings! The wishes blocks are are so fun and playful. I really must finish off a UFO or five before I can start something new. Now to find time to get into the sewing room....
String blocks are always such nice surprises. Love the cocoa mugs - wouldn't they make neat mug rugs. I'll have to chase down a pattern for them and see how that would work.
I really like that log cabin variation... that would make a great scrappy quilt!
I like your yellow cocoa cups. The stringy squares are a good idea for using scraps. I must remember that one.
Love those string blocks. I've had an urge to start playing with a few strings and seeing yours might have just pushed me over the edge. So pretty!
The Fat Quarter Shop's Sew Along blocks look interesting - love your fabric choices!
Always love string blocks and I really need a mug quilt to use when I sip my tea and there is a chill in the air. Your yellow blocks are wonderful!

I love those string blocks with the yellows.
Sheila, you are going to have some wonderful rainbow projects at the end of the year. I am especially looking forward to seeing the houses as a top.
Lots of wonderful yellow scrappiness!
The wishes blocks are too cute and every time i see the coffee cup blocks I think I need a little quilt with cups on it! Too cute!
Loving your bright fresh yellows. Your Wishes is coming along. Great fabrics.

oh....a string quilt with yellow would be awesome for me.
In that photo there is a block on the far right in the middle.
