Bless you, I don't think I could pick up those needles again (actually gave away all to a friend). But I have been toying with the idea to crochet - holding one needle in hand is doable.
You're certainly being productive in retirement... I had to give up knitting (arthritis in fingers) but can still crochet! Very relaxing...
