2013 Rainbow Scrap Challenge, February, Purple, Week 1

I love purple and have a lot of purple crumbs, skinny strips and scraps. I pieced four 8.5" purple blocks to add to my 8.5" block collection. And I cut ten 5" tumblers and several 2.5" squares for my collections of those. The two purple pot holders were made from crumbs and skinny strings scraps. The back of one is an orphan block. This made a small dent in my purple scrap box.
To see what others have made with their purple scraps, go here Saturday morning.

It must be purple on the Rainbow Challenge this month? I worked on a couple of purple blocks for the Palms yesterday.

Those all look great, and good for you using up some of your scraps. Why is it that the more you use, the more seems to be left?? LOL

You are on a purple scrap roll! I am playing in mine today and probably into the weekend - need some play time. I found some more pinks, so may make a few more pink blocks.

Hi Sheila,

Thanks for your reply! I'm not sure what has happened with my settings but I will try to get it sorted.

The little note book cover is such a clever idea, I might have a go at one myself.

Your purples are lovely. You sure do have a lot of purple scraps! I love the one with stars on it especially. I have started the challenge, but have now discovered that I only own one purple fabric!

You must have a great collection of purple if all of that only made a small dent. What a lot of pretty blocks.

You certainly have a great assortment of purples. I could use more! The blocks look great together just sitting there for the photo. I can only imagine how they'll look in a quilt.
