Last Knitting Class

Sadly my forth and last knitting class was this morning. I've had a great time learning to knit. Today we learned and practiced cable front and cable back stitches. Last week we practiced rice stitches. We learned how to increase stitches, decrease stitches and made eyelets. Unfortunately on the drive home, I forgot how to make eyelets! I found some YouTube video clips of people demonstrating how to make dish cloths with eyelets and made a miniature dish cloth. Success!
There were four of us in the class. A good size. Our teacher was wonderful! We learned to knit some basic stitches and how to read very easy patterns. She encouraged us to start with some small projects like dish cloths.
I bought some cotton yarn and can't wait to make some dish cloths. Yah  : D

I could never master cables, so good for you. Practic those simple steps and work your way up.

I never learned to make eyelets, but on my third project, a red wool pull over turtlenecked sweater for my boyfriend, I made cables all over it. It also had a fun raised rib between the cables. Don't think I could manage it anymore, but I was really proud of that project.
Love your assortment of items. Almost looks like you're making a bikini! Are you? LOL

I enjoy knitting the dishcloths. I haven't done any for the last couple years and I'm in need of some colorful ones. They all become the same shade of beige after they are used for 5 years but they last for a long time.

What a shame the four of you couldn't convince her to do another four weeks! I'm glad you enjoyed the course; don't forget to practise all you've learnt!

Great job on your knitting. Maybe the 4 of you could start a knit night or see if there is one in your area. We had one in VT that a few of us started at the library. It was fun to sit and knit and chat.

You know Sheila, you are natural knitter! How even and nice your knitting is! That's a very good idea to knit a dish cloths, I sew my dish cloths and wash it as many times as I need. Now I am in for another try: knitted dish cloths. Thank you for the inspiration! :)

I wished I could have been able to master Knitting. Youtube is the best resource when you get stuck on something.
