2014 RSC May, Green, Week 5, Goodnight Irene Progress, Teeny Tiny Zipper Pouches

After playing with green scraps this week I'll add eight 6.5" sampler blocks to my collection. A couple knitted cotton yarn dishcloths made it into the picture.
To see what others made with their green scraps this week go here Saturday morning.

I made extra blocks so my Goodnight Irene quilt top will be large. The white on black print I had planned to use for the border was too overpowering. The blue print is much better.

These Teeny Tiny Zipper Pouches are fun to make. Addictive. Pictured are five of the seven I've made already. Deby Coles' pattern is free. Her helpful YouTube video clip is here. Aren't they cute made up in Laura Burch cat prints.

Love your irene quilt. It came out great and the blue is perfect on the border. Lots of pretty greens. Have fun with yellow next month.

Love your greens! Looks like you have started up with some new patterns, too.
Love the blue on Irene. Suits her better.
The little pouches are darling.
Would be great for a key, and a little cash to jog over to the store. (Not that I'd ever do that, but we did as kids.)
Thanks for sharing the goodies.
Hugs

Cute little pouches. I love your border on Goodnight Irene. I still need to finish the last row on Irene and decide what to do about the border.

Thanks for info on pouches. I just might have to make some for stocking stuffers...if I remember.

I really like the neutral print that you used for your x's.
I'm seeing some differences in what others are doing that's making me want to think about doing another top. I used a boring very pale yellow for my x's.
I also see that you did the border the way I envisioned it, so that is how I am going to go too.

Thanks so much for trying out my teeny tiny zipper pouch and linking back to the pattern and tutorial on So Sew Easy.
I love that bright fabric you've chosen.
