UFO
A few years ago I pieced together 144 3 1/2" squares. It's 36" x 36" square. I can't remember what I had in mind when I started this project. When I found it about a month ago, I also found several 3 1/2" squares not pieced.
Looking at it now, I think it's a good start on a small picnic quilt. I think I'll add a blue border and some more 3 1/2" squares and another blue border .... life is pretty good.

Pay It Forward
Does this sound like fun? Quilters send so much love around to those in need and forget to 'gift' themselves. "Pay It Forward" in blog land is a great way for quilters to say THANK YOU to other quilters. I signed on with Sharon at Vroomans Quilts when she posted a request for three people. Now I am looking for three people that would like to participate in "Pay It Forward" with me.
The Rules are simple:
I need three people that would like a gift from me.
I send each of them a gift sometime in the next year.
In turn, you send three other people gifts.
We have a whole year, so I don't think this is too hard a task.
No need to be big and fancy, just kind and considerate.

Derek's Quilt
Pieced and free motion quilted. All done and so pretty. I just love rainbow quilts!
Some of the quilt was quilted using my Singer until the foot started to have issues.
I was in the market for a Baby Lock, Anna to be specific. They were on sale so I bought one and a free motion quilting foot. The directions said to use 0 tension and 0 stitch width. I was able to get it to quilt okay some of the time. A blogging friend said she used tension and stitch width with her Baby Lock. I tried 4 tension and 3 1/2 stitch width. No more issues. Oh yeah. I slowed down and started listening to my machine.
Miss Anna is a SWEET little machine for beginners. My granddaughters are going to enjoy sewing on this machine.

Weekend Sewing
I'm still quilting the second strip quilt. My second son saw the first colorful strip quilt I made and said he wanted me to make him one. He said it was bright and happy, made him smile. Well! I can do that!
The flannel baby quilt is a gift or a donation. I bought the fabrics 2 or 3 years ago because I thought the green and blue played nicely with each other :) A decorative stitch around the edge and all done.
