Green Rainbow Scrap Challenge

I finished up three green February Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks. I also have seven 2 1/2" green themed strips cut and placed with the red themed strips I cut in January. The plan is to choose 40 strips for a rainbow jelly roll quilt challenge in December. My February green themed pot holder is done and I'm ready for March.
The Pom Pom de Paris top and back is pieced and ready to be sandwiched with some batting for quilting.

Pom Pom de Paris Project

I took advantage of the after Christmas sales and bought a Jelly Roll, a Charm Pack and a few yards of Moda's Pom Pom de Paris.
Before I started the quilt top, I pulled the cream and tan strips and charms and cut charms and strips from the darker yardage to replace them. Pieces of the jelly roll strips were pieced around the 5" charms and the resulting blocks were randomly sewed together since all the fabrics in this collection play well together. I'll use all remaining pieces of the jelly roll strips in the border and the backing.

I'm going to make pot holders using Rainbow Scrap Challenge fabric colors. January was red and February is Green.
I'll keep some, but most will be Christmas gifts :D

Happy Valentine's Day

A piece of lovely fabric, a sweet little thread catcher and a box of candy came in a package in the mail for me! Yummy! It was from my California blogging buddy, Terri. If you like Harry Potter, lovely quilts, paper pieced blocks, and growing plants ... you should check out her blog! quiltncards.blogspot.com

I found a bolt minus half a yard of STAR WARS fabric at JoAnns! And I had a coupon! The grand kids loved it. I have several pillowcase orders!

Avengers Block For Sarah's Challenge at Confessions of a Fabric Addict

Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict issued a challenge to make blocks using 5", 3 1/2", and 2" squares. I used 2" and 3 1/2" squares to make an Avengers Block for the challenge. I also want to donate this block for Sarah's quilt ministry. She posts about this challenge and her church's quilt ministry on her post. The link is below.
