2013 Rainbow Scrap Challenge, June, Yellow, Week 1
I'm playing with yellow scraps this month. Though I love the color yellow, I don't have a lot of yellow scraps or stash. So I used some fabrics scraps with something yellow in the print. For example, I used a yellow owl on a green background and a yellow alien on blue background. This week I made five 8.5" blocks, some 5" tumblers and some 2.5" squares to add to my collections.
I found some time to knit and knitted three dishcloths using Sugar'n Cream's Pinky Strips, Tie Dye Strips and Green Dream.
To see what others made this week with their yellow scraps, go here Saturday morning : D

I love your yellow blocks! A little other color helps when using yellow.
I love your dishcloths too. I hope they come out with some more new colors in that yarn this year.
This is very pretty. And what a great idea to add the other colors that have yellow in them.
Love your yellow (somehow I missed the color announcement) - I will be digging for yellow too and like the idea of using 'hints' of yellow. Love those dishclothes, but too pretty to use!
Yellows are such a funny color; they can be very creamy--my favorite--or blaring.I like your print scraps--very lovely together...hugs, Julierose
Great yellow blocks. I love the dishcloths.
I LIKE those yellow blocks! They just look happy, don't they? And the dishcloths are gorgeous!
Love the bright yellows and their "carrying" color. So pretty. You are working up quite a collection of quilt pieces.
Hugs
Pretty sunny yellow blocks. Love your dish cloths. I finally got one done - three months later!
Love your variety -- the dishcloths are terrific! What pattern are you using?
Your yellow blocks are looking good. I haven't had a chance to get started on yellow yet! Love the quilty barns too!
Great yellows!
Love the yellow.
I love your yellow blocks. I start out the challenge in the beginning and usually fizzle after the first few months. I love the Sugar and Cream in your dishcloths. I enjoy knitting those, too, but haven't used the yarn you showed in the first two. May have to look for some soon!
I don't which I admire most each week... your blocks or your dishcloths! Your yellow blocks sparkle with the added fabrics - great idea.
Looks like you managed to make some beautiful blocks with your yellows! My yellow stash is pretty slight too but I think I'll be able to get my usual blocks made from them.
