This Zombie themed quilt is for a grandchild. He wanted zombie colors. Especially green. I used Mary Johnson's Quick Strippie quilt pattern found
here. It's a good pattern for a focal fabric like this one.
A closeup to show fabric and quilting detail.
The backing is more Zombie themed fabric.
And a closeup of the back. It's quilted with horizontal wavy lines using a walking foot. After a go in the washer and dryer it finished up to be a soft 39.5" x 52".

Love it. The perfect pattern to go with that fabric. (Love where the Zombies heads are chopped off.) And you used up all the fabric on the back? I wouldn't want it hanging around my stash... (I don't watch the show. In my old age there are a lot of shows that I'm not watching... too violent, too gory, too inhuman. Seems like good shows go to the extremes and I just can't stand them anymore.)
Anyway, thanks for sharing your quilt... Thanks for reminding us that we can use that pattern. Might be just the thing for the new baby quilt I should have started already.
Hugs
My LQS had this fabric, but I found it a bit morose. But it worked up so cute in Mary's pattern and I am sure he is going to be thrilled with it.
Very cool...my son would love a quilt made from zombie fabric. I will have to look out for some.
What a great pattern for this type of fabric - I will keep this in mind for the next baby quilt. I bet he will be very happy with it.
I had no idea there was zombie fabric "out there"... my LQS doesn't carry stuff like that. Mary's Strippie quilt was perfect for the prints and the quilt turned out GREAT! Love the wavy line quilting...
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
I'm sure your grandson will be thrilled. And it is a good pattern for showing off signature prints!
Oh my goodness ive just seen the button for the RSC 2014!
Love the zombie fabric!
Love how this turned out and I'm totally not even into zombies :)
