2014 Hands 2 Help Charity Quilt Challenge, A Quilt Finish

Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict is hosting her annual Hand 2 Help Charity Quilt Challenge. You can read about her challenge here.
I'm going to send this quilt to "Quilts of Compassion." I used Mary Johnson's Quick Strippie pattern found on her website here. This has been a favorite pattern of mine for a few years. A good pattern for a pretty gift or donation quilt for a child.

This is a picture of the back. I used Connecting Threads' "My Little Farm" fabric collection to make the quilt's front and most of the back. Such pretty warm chocolate brown and mint green colors in this quilt.

This is a close up of the back of the quilt. It's quilted with horizontal wavy lines using my domestic sewing machine's quilting foot, a 3.1 stitch length and mint green cotton Aurifil thread. After a go in the washer and dryer it finished at 41.5" x 51.5". I want to thank my friend Sharon for sharing these fabrics with me. I can imagine a little boy loving this soft, sweet quilt.

This post will be linked to Quilt in the Queue, 100 Quilts for Kids 2014 found here.
This quilt is also in my 100 Quilt for Kids 2014 post found here.

Very nice! Sometimes the simplest patterns turn out really striking.

Brown and green is a combination I don't use often so I forget how nicely they work together. Nicely done.

A nice snuggly quilt for a little boy. Next year I will make my donated quilt a gender neutral one, too :)
