2018 RSC May Pink Week 2, String blocks, Tote Bag, Doll Quilt, Pillowcases, Growing Up Odd Block
Still catching up this month with colorful blocks in five colors. I used pages torn from a phone book for the foundation of these blocks. Three super scrappy pot holders made it into the picture. Can never have enough of these to give away.
To see what others made with their rainbow colors, go here.
Pictured is a doll quilt, a couple pillow cases and a tote bag for some great grand kids. Fun stuff!
Goodness knows I don't need to start another project, but here goes the start of a "Growing Up Odd" quilt block. Here is a link to a free tutorial for the block and quilt.
Happy Mother's Day!

Your string blocks are beautiful, love to see them together.
The growing up odd is a very interesting quilt to use all those scraps cwhich appears around our sewing machine. LOL
String quilt blocks are so colorful and beatifully done,
The Growing Up Odd quilt is really neat! I love all the color. It looks like fun to work on it, a few 2 inch squares at a time! Enjoyed seeing all your other projects, too.
Happy Mother's Day to you, too. You have a fine collection of blocks there. Love the Dolly quilt... and the Growing Up Odd is wonderful. Just your kind of blocks.
Hugs
Love those five colored blocks, that is going to make one gorgeous quilt.
Happy Quilting!
Connie :)
Thanks for the link. This is a great scrap buster. It might become my new leader and ender as my bow Ties are nearly finished.
You always have such fun, colorful projects! I love the dinosaur tote bag!
I'm a fan of your new project. Love your PINK work, too!!
welcome to the "growing up odd" club! haha! I'm working on one, too. for RCS. some in each color for each month- we'll see how they come together at the end of the year... love yours in multi-color.
Your rainbow strings are super! I make a lot of string blocks for HeartStrings quilts. You've given me another idea....Growing Up Odd looks like a great way to use up those squares I keep cutting and tossing into boxes. Hope your week is off to a good start.
Isn't that Beauty and the Beast fabric amazing???!!! I see it every time I go to Joann's but I haven't bought any yet. I need to though, because I love it! You made a super cute doll quilt with it! I am happy to see you are finding some time to sew and blog!
