After a third week of playing with blues, I'll add four Happy Scrappy Houses to my collection The pattern can be found on Bonnie Hunter's Quiltville website under the free pattern tab. All my little houses are occupied.
I decided to make a rainbow wonky star quilt with 2.5" squares this year. One block is all blue squares. The other block is blue and purple squares. To see what others made with blue prints go here Saturday morning.
My sewing buddy, Cathy, and I got together Saturday to sew RWB 8.5" blocks to donate for Home Town Hero Quilts. Here are my four blocks. I'll turn them in during this month's guild meeting.
My NY buddy, Sharon, sent me a box of goodies over the Christmas Holidays. I pulled a couple panels of wonky little houses and flower blocks from the box, cut them apart and sashed them with a sunny yellow print from my sash.
I used most of the blocks on the front and the rest on the back. It's quilted with a very loose free motion meander. The binding is a pretty yellow print, also from my stash. After a go in the washer and dryer this soft sweet little charity quilt finished at 35" x 37". This was fun to make. I'll turn it in during this month's guild meeting. Thank you Sharon.

Love the blue star block with purple accents. So many great blocks this week!
Your Rainbow Wonky star quilt is off to a GREAT start!! I also think that your Happy Houses are adorable. Looks like you are having TONS of quilting fun!
Love your blue blocks and great r/w/b donation blocks. I knew you would come up with something for that panel - how cute!!!
Oh. My. Goodness!!! You have outdone yourself this week! Every project is just wonderful. I seriously love those house blocks, and the stars, the rwb blocks and what a great job you did of utilizing those panels! You're the bomb!
love all your blocks. look like some run quilts are about to happen.
Lovely "blues" - I like the house one ! But all are great
Wow! you got a lot done. The yellow looks so inviting! Nice to finish things especially quilts that get donated to people in need.
You are always an inspiration to me. It is very cold in Ia.
I love all the little residents peeking out the doors and windows!
Absolutely terrific blocks!
Your houses are the best. I'm falling in love with them. I've been watching Tiny House shows also. That's an impossibility for a quilter. Your blue wonky star blocks are both very nice. I tried one in December but it did not want to be obedient, so that is a dead end, I think. Keep up the good work because you are off to a great start.
Oh no.... those houses were on my to do list this year..... you are tempting me to try some! Must resist, must resist.....
Your sunny yellow quilt is pretty and those twinkle stars are so cheerful.
I like all the blocks you made, especially those wonky stars. What a great idea. Love that bright and cheery baby quilt. Why not share it at Michele's Let's Make Baby Quilts.
Just right to perk up spirits this winter.
Nice progress for a new year!
Cute houses - I love the novelty prints in the doors and windows! The wonky stars look great, too. The blue and purple accent color work well together!
So many nice things here, love the little houses with occupants, and of course the wonky star blocks, so cute. What a great use of panel fabric in your yellow sashed quilt, I always love back art!
Such great projects! I've got the wonky star pattern in my to do box. Your make me want to do them even more!
Those houses are adorable, what fun to find the critters who live there!
Such cute little houses and the stars are adorable. You should use up some good "bits and pieces" of stash with those.
I love the white stars on the blue - very eyecatching
Love your blocks, especially the blues with stars. Love the little houses, too. Some little darling will love those.

Oh what a grand post -- so much goodness. I've made Bonnie's houses - they're fun. And your star blocks are a design I love. But that yellow quilt . . . I REALLY love that one.
Oh MY! You're a busy quilter! I especially like that last quilt you'll be donating. LOVELY!
That is the cutest baby quilt! I can't wait to see it in person at guild meeting. :) Love the wonky star blocks too! Hooray for the patriotic blocks. You've had a good sewing week.
