2015 RSC October Brown Week 1 and Progress of Hopscotch Butterscotch Quilt Made With Men's Shirts

October's RSC color is brown. I'll add four 8.5" blocks made with sixteen 2.5" squares to my collection. To see what others made with their brown scraps, go here Saturday morning.

I've made some progress on my quilt made with men's shirts. Ready to start on the keyboard border. I'm using Bonnie Hunter's Hopscotch Butterscotch pattern from her book Adventures With Leaders and Enders.
Here is a cute video I found last week. Enjoy.

Love the soft mix of browns. The shirt quilt is awesome - how did you get those plaid sashings so even? Plaids seem to run so wonky.

I like your brown blocks. I used to think I didn't like brown, but I've added to all the other colors that I do LOVE. Do you think it could be that we just like fabric? LOL! You have really whipped that Hopscotch Butterscotch together in a hurry! It looks wonderful!

You got busy with the brown scraps, very fun blocks. Love the orange/red sashing in Hopscotch Butterscotch, it really frames the other blocks nicely. Beautifully done.

Another cool video. Very fun!

Your shirting quilt is coming out smashing. Love the plaids. The brows are so rich and manly looking - what a great quilt they will make.

Sheila, you have an amazing collection of brown scraps and your 16-patch blocks look great. Your hop-scotch is going well too; great use of leaders and enders.

Amazing to think you've found all those different browns in men's shirts. You must have a stack of shirts a mile high. LOL The quilt is really looking great.

Hopscotch Butterscotch is looking great! I'm glad you focused on that quilt - it's good to have a "new" Bonnie pattern to think about.

I really like all of the quilts I've seen that use men's shirts. The BH pattern you used is especially nice.

I love novelties in blocks. You always make such simple blocks with your scraps that end up in some very awesome quilts. That's some inspiration!
