Week 4 of the RSC and I'll add a brown crumb hot pad/pot holder and a 8.5" Eye of God block to my collections.
I'm getting a head start on my Let's Book It project with four blocks made with men's shirt fabric. You may recognize them as a Bonnie Hunter block. More about these blocks next week.
To see what other's make with their brown fabrics, go here Saturday morning.
Using strips, linings and straps cut from deconstructed men's shirts, I made another Everything Bag. I'm pleased with how it turned out and plan to start using it right away.
Yesterday THIS came in the mail! I entered Fabrics N Quilts "Scrap Quilt Challenge" this year and won a beautiful collection of bright Aurifil Threads in the drawing! Yah! Thank you Fabrics N Quilts and Aurifil for hosting and sponsoring this Scrap Quilt Challenge for a fifth year. I love these threads. I also look forward to using the small package of Sweet Dreams Stuffing to stuff a child's toy. Thank you Sweet Dreams.
Finally. Found this cute video clip a few weeks ago.

Lovely tote! So glad you are happy with your thread & winnings! Happy Stitching!
Love the shirt blocks and the bag is very creative with your left overs. Congrats on your win.
Congrats! on your BIG win. Aurafil is REALLY nice thread!!
Great shirt blocks and great tote!
You are getting quite a bit of use out of those men's shirts. Congratulations on your win. Having new thread will be lots of fun.
Yay for more deconstructed shirt projects - I'm taking notes!
You're certainly turning old shirts into lovely things!
Congrats on your win! Pretty colors are always a welcome prize.
Love the blocks you are making with the shirts!!!! And more pretty brown crumbs and Eye of God blocks! Congratulations on winning! Looks like a super prize! Your tote bag looks perfect.
Great blocks and congrats on the win.
The shirt projects are such a good idea. I recently came across the Quirky quilter on Facebook who sells shirt offcuts from a high-end manufacturer in the UK (as worn by Daniel Craig and Prince Charles!). It saves it from going in landfill and all money raised goes to charity. I bought some and it is lovely and most of the pieces are larger than a fat quarter.- I don't know if she posts internationally but it might be worth a try
You made some really nice things. The bag looks very sharp. What I love best is the video. Sent it on to my granddaughter, who may like it. She is 14 and loves the Beatles and Abba.
Congratulations on the win. Aurifil makes great threads. I love their neutral soft grey and cream for piecing. Lovely tote. Great block using the men's shirts. What does Bonnie call it?
LOVE that tote bag . . . LOVE!!!
